We couldn’t be more pleased to announce the next major release of Adobe Connect – version 10.0. Adobe Connect 10 is a significant milestone for us and includes features that we’re incredibly excited to bring to our customers including an entirely new HTML client, scalable HD video, out of the box single sign on (SSO), UI Improvements, and much more.
It gives me great pleasure to show you the second part of our strategy – a new HTML client that runs in any modern browser without the need for Flash Player or other plug-ins. While we’re not announcing any specific product release today, we couldn’t wait any longer to show you what we’ve been working on.
When it began offering Executive MBA (EMBA) courses online in 2004, Saint Mary’s College of California became a pioneer of virtual education. The program gave working professionals a combination of convenience and in-person interaction by blending virtual and in-classroom learning. Saint Mary’s award-winning EMBA program has since become a model for other institutions.Recently, the liberal arts college implemented Adobe Connect as its preferred online conferencing platform.
Adobe Connect 9.7.5, coming in Early March, brings with it a set of exciting improvements to both the Adobe Connect application and Adobe Connect Central. In this release we focused our efforts on further transitioning towards HTML5 within the administrator console and improving the login process, audio output selection, the installer, and much more.
Each year, the Adobe Connect team recognizes a key partner organization which has excelled at providing exceptional value to our shared customers through Adobe Connect solutions. Awards are handed out for each of three categories: North American Partner of the Year, International Partner of the Year, and Government Partner of the Year. For each category, the team nominates three partners and votes on the winner. We are pleased to announce the nominees and winners for the 2017 partners of the year.
While other solutions could only support concurrent events in French or English, with Adobe Connect CFHI can seamlessly deliver bilingual events using breakout rooms where participants can view primary content in their preferred language. The approach keeps audiences integrated and benefits them by sharing in one common digital experience.
The new Adobe Connect Central homepage redesign not only provides a more accessible view of the content (Flash is no longer required on the homepage), but provides additional opportunities to filter and find your Adobe Connect meetings and learning content.
Today we announced, with the support of many of our technology partners including Apple, Facebook, Google, Microsoft, and Mozilla, that Adobe plans to end-of-life the Flash Player by the end of 2020. The significant progress that has been made on the open web in terms of standards, capabilities, and maturity makes us feel confident that they will ultimately provide a viable alternative for Flash content in the browser moving forward.
