The Canadian Foundation for Healthcare Improvement uses Adobe Connect to Deliver Engaging Virtual Bi-lingual Events

To continually enhance the value of the care delivered to citizens, the Canadian Foundation for Healthcare Improvement (CFHI) unites government and healthcare stakeholders to identify best practices. Distance learning is a crucial tool for accomplishing organizational objectives in the world’s second-largest country.

Funded by the Government of Canada, the non-partisan Foundation conducts quality improvement “collaboratives” to share, spread, and scale up evidence-based, patient-centered practices. The foundation has used distance learning, including CFHI live “On Call” webinar events and self-paced education, for more than ten years.

“When we upgraded to Adobe Connect in 2013, the cost savings were spectacular. We could pay for a full-year’s license for Adobe Connect for what it previously cost to produce a single webcast,” says Kelly Ripley, Digital Media and Online Learning Specialist, Canadian Foundation for Healthcare Improvement.

While other solutions could only support concurrent events in French or English, with Adobe Connect CFHI can seamlessly deliver bilingual events using breakout rooms where participants can view primary content in their preferred language. The approach keeps audiences integrated and benefits them by sharing in one common digital experience.

Adobe partner Dialog Conferencing helps make sure CFHI is getting the most out of Adobe Connect by helping to expand usage while simplifying event preparation. The Foundation is also realizing cost savings of nearly $1,000 per participant by eliminating unnecessary travel expenses.
