Adobe Media Gateway shows inactive in Flash Media gateway settings on Console

Problem:  Adobe Media Gateway shows inactive in Flash Media gateway settings on Console.

Environment:

  • Adobe Connect Licensed

Resolution:

There could be multiple reasons for this.  Helathcheck failure is one of the reasons for this.  Follow below steps to verify and resolve the health check issue.

  1. Check healthcheck logs under “/Connect/logs/support folder.
  2. Look for fmg-health-check entries for any failure.  Similar to below entries.
    [02-28 18:19:54,187] fmg-health-check (INFO) FMGManager Updating Host state on health check. Host: 10.42.45.198, State: failed
    [02-28 18:19:59,188] fmg-health-check (INFO) FMGManager Updating Host state on health check. Host: 10.42.45.198, State: failed
  3. This happens when custom.ini doesn’t have entries for FMG user & password.
  4. Enter below entries in custom.ini to register the FMG server.
    FMG_ADMIN_USER=sa
    FMG_ADMIN_PASSWORD=breeze
  5. After updating this in custom.ini restart Adobe Connect services.

Additional Information:

  • After successful restart the FMG should register successfully and start showing as active on the console page.
  • If it still shows as inactive, please contact Adobe Connect support.
