Problem: Adobe Media Gateway shows inactive in Flash Media gateway settings on Console.
Environment:
- Adobe Connect Licensed
Resolution:
There could be multiple reasons for this. Helathcheck failure is one of the reasons for this. Follow below steps to verify and resolve the health check issue.
- Check healthcheck logs under “/Connect/logs/support folder.
- Look for fmg-health-check entries for any failure. Similar to below entries.
[02-28 18:19:54,187] fmg-health-check (INFO) FMGManager Updating Host state on health check. Host: 10.42.45.198, State: failed
[02-28 18:19:59,188] fmg-health-check (INFO) FMGManager Updating Host state on health check. Host: 10.42.45.198, State: failed - This happens when custom.ini doesn’t have entries for FMG user & password.
- Enter below entries in custom.ini to register the FMG server.
FMG_ADMIN_USER=sa
FMG_ADMIN_PASSWORD=breeze - After updating this in custom.ini restart Adobe Connect services.
Additional Information:
- After successful restart the FMG should register successfully and start showing as active on the console page.
- If it still shows as inactive, please contact Adobe Connect support.
