Desktop Application 2024.6 and Earlier will White Screen in Connect 12.8 with Shared PDF

After the changes and improvements made to PDF share in Connect 12.8, as outlined in the 12.8 release notes , users who have not updated their App recently may get a white screen.

Specifically users on the Desktop App versions from June 2024 and earlier; when pdf is shared, or when joining a room where pdf is currently being shared, the App will go white screen .

To resolve this update the desktop App to the latest version from https://www.connectusers.com/apps/ or https://helpx.adobe.com/adobe-connect/connect-downloads-updates.html or alternately join in Browser.
