Government 2.0, Powered by Connect Pro

April 20, 2009 /Adobe Connect /

President Obama has paid a lot of lip service to his emphasis on streamlining government. This was further emphasized by a few announcements this weekend including his appointment of a Chief Technology Officer and Chief Performance Officer and his request for cabinet officers to find a way to eliminate $100 M from their budgets by finding new efficiencies.
But the proof is in the pudding, right? Well the U.S. Department of State, which has to be one of the most geographically dispersed organizations in the world with embassies and diplomats stationed around the globe, has been really ramping up their Connect Pro usage and to great effect.

First we told you about Secretary of State Hillary Clinton appearing in Connect Pro via a simulcast of her historic meeting with the European Parliament:

Well now we can say that President Obama himself has made his Connect Pro debut earlier this week, presenting at a Town Hall meeting during last week’s visit to Turkey.

It’s great to see the Obama Administration really delivering on their promises of streamlining government, openness, transparency, and a commitment to using technology to achieve these goals. And can I say that it’s even more exciting for us that Connect Pro is a component of Obama’s vision.
What’s even better is that it’s clear that the Department of State have become quite the Connect Pro experts with their snazzy layouts and extensive customization and branding.
