Warning pop-up: Network appears to be blocking audio and video.

The following message may pop-up when attempting to enter an Adobe Connect Meeting running on version 12.12 from a client in a restrictive network environment:

The various solutions and workaround options presented in the pop-up will serve to expedite client entry into Meetings from within restrictive networks.
This pop-up is enabled by default but can be disabled easily under the Compliance and Control > Access Settings option in Adobe Connect Central:

After having successfully entered a meeting, participants may experience the following if their AV connection drops mid-session:
- Nothing visible at first — the Adobe Connect Meeting Application detects the problem in the background and starts trying to reconnect automatically.
- A toast/banner appears: “Network connection lost… Please wait as we try to reconnect you.” The user stays in the meeting; they just see this message while it retries.
- If it reconnects in time the message disappears and the user continues in the meeting as normal. No further action needed.
- If it can’t reconnect the user is then taken to a full-screen message: “We weren’t able to get you in. Your network appears to be blocking audio and video, which are required for this session,” along with suggestions (try a different network, check VPN/firewall, or join by phone) and a button to try entering again.
- Exception — if the participant is a host/presenter, or the account has the “Allow participants to enter the room even if they can’t connect to audio/video” setting enabled, they instead get the option to continue into the meeting without audio/video rather than being blocked out.
So from the user’s side: brief hiccup → wait message → either resolves quietly, or they land on the full failure screen if the connection can’t recover.
