Unknown Error in Mozilla Firefox upon Muting the Microphone in Adobe Connect Meeting

ISSUE DESCRIPTION: Users receive an unknown error upon muting a published microphone in Adobe Connect Meeting using Mozilla Firefox browser.

ENVIRONMENT:

  • Adobe Connect Meeting
  • Adobe Connect version 12.9.1, 12.10
  • Mozilla Firefox version 141

REASON: This has been identified as a bug (CONN-4166853) with Adobe Connect version 12.9.1, 12.10.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Enter the meeting using FireFox and connect the camera first.
  2. Then your connect microphone.
  3. Then mute the microphone.

WORKAROUND (For Windows OS only):

  • Go to Control Panel> All Control Panel Items> Programs and Features.
  • Open Mozilla Firefox> Select Mozilla Firefox> Uninstall/ Change.
  • Open Mozilla Firefox> Go to about:preferences:
  • Select this option from Preferences:

Note: If an alternative browser to Firefox can be used until this is resolved, that may be a better option than downgrading the Firefox browser.
