Google Chrome Local Network Access Popup
This article contains images, if you do not see them please refresh this page
The latest versions of Chrome and Edge Browser open a prompt that requests you to allow local network access when joining an Adobe Connect meeting after clicking a meeting link. The popup looks like this:

It is simply asking you to trust the meeting domain, xxx.adobeconnect.com, to launch the Adobe Connect Desktop Application installed on your machine. For details see: https://developer.chrome.com/blog/local-network-access
Clicking Allow will launch the Adobe Connect Application as normal and your choice will be remembered by Chrome, and you won’t get the popup alert again when joining a meeting room on the same Adobe Connect account.
If you choose to click Block, or continually ignore the prompt, your meeting rooms will continue to work but will launch in the Browser. This setting will also persist, and all rooms will continue to launch in the Browser only.
If you have clicked Block accidentally but do want to join rooms in the Adobe Connect Desktop Application you can reset the Allow permission as follows:
Click the Site information button in the Browser URL bar:

Click the local network access option and make sure it is enabled/blue like this:

Refresh the Browser page and your Meeting will launch in the Adobe Connect Desktop application. Your choice here will also persist, you will continue to launch rooms in the Adobe Connect Desktop Application unless you choose to disable local network access.
