Client Screen-sharing Options in Adobe Connect Meeting

Mac client users may have noticed that the screen-share feature in the last two Adobe Connect Meeting Application releases, Aug 2025 and Jan 2026, offers the options of Full Screen or Window; the Application share option was occluded. In Chrome on Mac clients, it is similar: Full Screen, Window, or Chrome tab, with no Application share option.

In a Chrome browser in a Meeting see the following screen-share options: Chrome Tab, Window and Entire Screen:

In the Adobe Connect Meeting Application for Windows version Win 2025.9.15.64h, the screen-sharing options are, Secure Desktop, Applications and Windows: Adobe Connect desktop application 2025.8 and 2025.9 Release Notes

The Application sharing option is available in Windows app (version 2025.9.15.64)

The next upcoming Windows application release will continue to have Full screen, Window and Application Share option until the next server side updater is applied.

With the next server-side update, the Application share option in the Windows Meeting Application will be removed and made uniform with the Mac Application and the Chrome Browser options. This article will be updated as soon as we are sure of the release dates for the upcoming updater.

The options to Share Full Screen and Windows are commensurate with the full change over to the Chromium Framework for screen-sharing which will will bring an improvement in client-side CPU resource utilization when using the Windows Meeting Application.
