Adobe Connect Meeting Best Practices

This guide outlines best practices for hosts and participants, along with log collection steps, to help ensure a smooth and seamless Adobe Connect meeting experience.

For Hosts

  • Join the meeting room in advance and verify that the room is ready before participants enter.
  • Confirm that all shared content such as presentations, PDFs, and MP4 files works correctly in the meeting room before starting the live session.
  • If custom pods are used, ensure they are loaded through the in-room custom pod workflow.

  • Use the Adobe Connect desktop application for the best overall host experience.

  • Before starting, test your microphone and speaker from the pre-meeting screen or inside the room.
  • If the session is expected to run for an extended duration, avoid keeping the same room active continuously for more than 12 hours. Hosts should use “End meeting for all”, wait about 20 minutes, and then restart the meeting.
  • If an issue occurs during the meeting, capture a screenshot, logs and note whether the issue occurred in the desktop app or a browser.

For Participants

  • Close all unused applications on your computer before joining the meeting.
  • Completely exit other conferencing applications, as they may interfere with camera and microphone access.
  • Use a stable internet connection whenever possible. If joining from home on Wi‑Fi, try to reduce other high-bandwidth activities such as streaming or gaming during the session.
  • For the best experience, join using the latest Adobe Connect desktop application whenever possible.

  • If joining from a browser, we recommend using Google Chrome.
  • Use a high-quality USB headset or microphone whenever possible. If using your laptop microphone, use earbuds or headphones to help reduce echo and feedback.
  • Bluetooth audio devices may work, but wired USB devices are generally more stable.
  • Before entering the room, use the pre-meeting screen in the Adobe Connect application to test your microphone and speaker.
  • If any issue occurs during the meeting, please take a screenshot, logs and share it on the channel.
