Adobe connect app (2021.3.27) opens blank with white screen

ISSUE DESCRIPTION: Adobe connect app (2021.3.27) open blank with white screen

REASON: This happens after installing the latest version of Adobe connect app 2021.3.27

SOLUTION: This has been reported as a BUG and it is being investigated by engineering team.

Workaround 1:

  • Right Click on the Connect Icon on the Desktop > Go to Shortcuts
  • Add –disable-gpu at the end as shown below (Note the space after connect.exe and do not copy and paste the double dash – actually type it in)
  • Open the app from the desktop and launch the meeting from it, it should be working fine.

Workaround 2:

Workaround 3:

  • Copy the URL that opens the Adobe Connect meeting room from the browser.
  • Open the Adobe Connect App from the desktop with suggested parameter. Adding –disable-gpu at the end of Target as mentioned in Adobe Screenshot. (take careful note the double dash and the space and do not copy and paste)
  • Paste the URL to the “Room/ content link” field.
  • The meeting room will open fine.

    Hi Bishwajt,

We tried this but it did not work at all. It is the same Blank with White Screen. Is there any other fix for this?

As you said to the adobe connect icon on the desktop, I did the disable gpu setting. When I bring the link and type it instead of the adobe connect address, the course opens. But when I click the adob connect link on the browser, it stays on the white screen again.

I take an online course from Monday to Friday and use this program for 8 hours on average, I’ve tried almost everything but nothing seems to work, I’m desperate, if you find a solution let me know as soon as possible.

This is what I try and it works for me.

    1. I copy the URL that opens the Adobe Connect meeting room from the browser.

    2. Open the Adobe Connect App from the desktop with suggest parameter

    3. Paste the URL to the “Room/ content link” field.

And it opens the meeting room.

    Good morning,
I tried the space–disable-gpu tric. It worked once. but now, it still lets me open the classroom, but I dont have access to any of the functions. I dont understand because at first it worked out well. STudents like the new standard view and the audio really is better

None of the suggestions work for me. I can connect the course with web browser, but not with the Adobe Connect App. Could you please help?

OK, I found the problem that I had. Above, bishwajt wrote in his message on 6 April that we should use –disable-gpu, but actually we should after I use –disable-gpu it worked. I hope it will continue working.

Hi Guys, the issue is in this post window. Bishwajt wants to tell (in his message at 6:23 PM on April 7, 2021):
    hyphen hyphen disable hyphen gpu
However, somehow when you write two hypens side by side, this message window shows it as a long hypen, and if you copy it, actually it doesnt work. So, instead, write two hypens consecutively, instead of copy paste.

When I try to write –disable-gpu it is displayed like “–disable-gpu”. So I have attached a screenshot of what to type and how it should look like.

Thanks for the input. I have updated the tech-note. We have a new Meeting Application that will be available on May 7th.

I am on a mac mini and am having the same issue. Running the command in terminal does not work. Is there another parameter for the mac instead of –disable-gpu?

      “/Applications/Adobe Connect/Adobe Connect.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Connect” –disable-gpu
